Virtual Walking for Treatment of Neuropathic Pain following Spinal Cord Injury
Do you have a Spinal Cord Injury and Chronic Neuropathic Pain? Researchers at Virginia Commonwealth University are recruiting across the US and Canada for a study that examines the effects of Virtual Reality Walking as a treatment for SCI neuropathic pain. The trial is funded by the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program. Participants are compensated.
What it Involves
The entire study is done at home. The study involves playing a virtual reality walking game for 10 minutes, two times a day for 10 days. All equipment is provided. The study also involves completing questionnaires before and at several points after the intervention.
Eligibility
Ages 18 and up
Uses a wheelchair to get around
Able to move both arms at least a little bit
Location
This is a home-based intervention. Anyone across the United States and Canada is eligible.
Compensation
Participants will be compensated between $400 and $500 dollars.
